Bon Dimanche Mes Amours!! If you spent any time online this week then you probably saw that as a collective we’re deep in the 2016 nostalgia. Minus the whole, that loser winning his first term and society declining ever since. Rose colored glasses are quite a powerful lens! But we couldn’t resist joining the party and going back in time. 2016 was a year before we even met, but we were both living aspiring girlboss (RIP) lives in NYC.

KT was working at Warner Records and truly loving life, the music industry, and all the nights of going to shows of undiscovered artists and discovering bars with new co-workers & friends. It was the year of living big working girl dreams, traveling, meeting her fiancé…and Dua Lipa way before she became the superstar she is today. Meanwhile, MP was peak fashion girl, working in PR at Christian Louboutin and freelance styling on the side. It was the year of moving into a Lower East Side studio and saying yes to any and all experiences. It was both glamorous and laughably not at the same time.

The big lesson we see from the 2016 takeover is that we all need to start to give less of a f*ck. We miss the days of embracing the cringe, being caught trying too hard, and embarrassing ourselves along the way. Because 10 years from now, we’re going to value the memories of how we’re living now, no matter how imperfect.

The week in ~mood~

The Structure

  • 🤎 Teyana & Olandria & Lori & Tessa at the Globes

  • 🤵🏻 Ralph Lauren reminding Aime & Kith who tf they are with their latest show (and tapping into our F1 Mania prediction for this year)

  • 📸 Gucci’s dreamy IG grid + La Famiglia campaign

  • 🥺 Ryan Coogler bringing his college professor to the Globes

  • 🧚‍♀️ Bad Bunny being our last hope to save humanity

The Chaos

  • 😱 Being too scared to read the book you desperately want to devour

  • 📺 Tell Me Lies needing to be categorized as a horror genre

  • 🖤 The chokehold the choker had on us in 2016

  • 💰 People desperate to drop a bag on this nonexistent Loewe x Stanley collab

  • 👙 The Triangl bikini comeback…pls let her rest, ladies

Quote of the Week

  • 💋 Used this Patrick Ta foundation for the first time in forever and forgot how fucking incredible it is. Face? Flawless.

  • 🏀 Obsessed with the raw hem and luxe drape on this hoodie by Honor the Gift (Russ Westbook’s brand that lowkey eats)

  • 💦 Y’all know how much we love Cyklar deo but we’re now officially in love with the in-shower body oil too. Winter dehydration won’t take us out.

  • 🧴 Even though it’s winter you still need SPF, and this is a 2x empty

  • 👩🏼‍🏫 The chicest office siren meets prep school low-rise pleated skirt (and it’s on sale)

Consciously Consuming…

  • 🤳🏽 Trend Report: CES 2026 by Morgan DeBaun: Yes, we keep up with the techies too. If you’re unfamiliar, CES is an annual consumer electronics show in Vegas during the first week of January and a place for international brands to showcase all their new devs and futuristic products. And tbh Morgan is the only one we trust to give us a no bullshit take on what’s actually worth paying attention to.

  • 💚 Terrence O’Connor on the Cutting Room Floor: A masterclass in vulnerability! Not only is his ambiguous yet fabulous career fascinating, but his openness about talking about his heavy split from ex boyfriend and creative collaborator Benny Drama is something we could all learn from. Oh, and if you don’t follow his weekly Cultural Digests, you’re only hurting yourself.

  • 🎧 Jaclyn Johnson on Hot Smart Rich: We could listen to Jaclyn forever - she speaks so clearly and authoritatively, it’s impossible not to be sucked in. And, the empire she built with Create & Cultivate is one to admire. If you need something to motivate your entrepreneurial aspirations while also keeping it 100% real about the less than lovely aspects of building a business, add this to your playlist.

  • 🎤 Diabolical Lies on Scott Galloway & Heated Rivalry: We’ve all probably seen at least one clip from the Scott Galloway press tour at this point, instilling a range of emotions from absolute rage to well, maybe he’s got a point. And while we have a lot of empathy for men and the male loneliness epidemic, we don’t love how quickly this narrative makes it women’s fault. Katie & Cara break down Scott’s book so well, as well as his arguments, his (lack of) citations, and what about it is rooted in scientific fact vs perhaps a dose of misogyny.

  • 🎵 A$AP Rocky on Popcast: First things first, the way this man talks about Rihanna! How every woman wants her man to sound. We also got the extra reminder of just how iconic Rocky’s influence is, thanks to his album dropping the same week as 2016 mania. Aka when Loves$ick, LSD & Fine Whine were reigning. And not just in music, but as a visionary creative, an arbiter of taste, and more often than not the flyest guy in the room.

Brands We’re Betting On

Brand launches, analyses, and rises before they takeover from your early-adopter besties (and guinea pigs).

The creator-economy is estimated to be worth half trillion dollars, if not $1T+, by the early 2030s. Despite the online cries and uninformed think-pieces, influencer marketing isn’t going anywhere. Which means that there has been a mass rush within the tech space to build platforms that stand the test of time in supporting a booming industry. But, only one has our bet…
